Pro DKP here, as long as its not abused and officers use it with an element of discretion.

I've used DKP in my pass guild experiences and have never had a truely bad experience with it. - I credit the officers in charge of the points to this.

As long as it's kept track of and clearly updated after every run, I don't think there should be any issue with it.

It is generally easier to keep track of then a Suicide king's system (I've seen that get screwed up more then DKP itself) and keeps all the points open for people to look at.

When you do get good at it, you'll know exactly how much to bid people up to. ;)

Having said all of that; DKP can be great you reach 25 man content.
It gets to the point where 9+ rolls are just too hard to keep track of.

I'm most comfortable with a DKP system and will always be to a point.

My guild is not quite at a 25 man content level (though we have cleared Gruul's Lair quite a few times now) so we don't use it *yet*. - The time will come when we'll have to move away from rolls and I'm sure this will be one of the options considered.

I have heard horror stories, but they generally follow the lines of "It wasn't updated." - keep it updated and you guys will be just fine!

I wish you much luck in this new adventure~
